Serving by GRACE is a guided self-discovery assessment. It walks you through five areas — your spiritual Gifts, Relational style, Abilities, Christian development, and Enthusiasm — and then shows you the ministry pathways that fit how God has wired you. It takes most people 30–45 minutes, and there are no wrong answers: the only way to do it "wrong" is to answer as the person you wish you were instead of who you are.
Tap Beginon the home page and enter your email address. We'll email you a sign-in link — no password to create or remember. Open the email (check spam the first time; it comes from "Serving by GRACE") and tap the link. You'll read a short agreement page explaining that church staff can see your responses to help place you in serving roles — check the box and you're in.
Every answer saves by itself within a couple of seconds — there is no save button. Stop anytime, close the app, come back tomorrow on a different device: sign in with the same email and you'll be exactly where you left off. Look for "All changes saved" near the top as you work.
Profile & Availability
Just the basics — your name, and when you're realistically available to serve. Tap every day/time that could work; you're not committing to anything yet.
Gifts
Read all twelve descriptions before ranking — many people find their real top three aren't the ones they expected. Tap 1st, 2nd, and 3rd on the cards.
Relational Style
The sliders have no good or bad ends — being an introvert who loves routine is as valuable as the opposite. Rate all twenty words in the survey (1 = least like you, 4 = most like you).
Abilities
First tap the areas that apply to you — most people pick two to five — then rate just those skills as Beginner, Capable, or Expert. Don't be modest: staff use "Expert" to find the right people.
Christian Development
Answer honestly, not aspirationally — 0 means "not really true of me right now," and that's useful information, not a failing grade. This section is for encouragement, not judgment.
Enthusiasm
Each list limits you to five picks — that's on purpose, to surface what you care about most. The painful-experiences list is completely optional; share only what you're comfortable sharing. God often uses our hardest seasons to shape our ministry to others.
The Review step shows what's finished and what's required: your name, your weekly time available to serve, your three gift rankings, the twenty survey words, and the thirty development statements. Anything marked optional can be skipped. After you submit, you'll see your personal results: your top gifts, your development snapshot, and five ministry pathways ranked for you. Treat them as a compass, not a verdict — they're the start of a conversation with our staff about where you might serve. You can print them, and you can come back to see them anytime by signing in again.

Can I change an answer?
Before submitting: yes, freely — tap any section name at the top to jump back. After submitting, answers are locked; ask the church office if you need a redo.

Do I have to finish in one sitting?
No. Many people do a section or two at a time over a few days.
